Pita Place in Fairbanks

We loved this place! Came in from Cleveland Ohio, and a local recommended it to us. Frankly, the best falafel I have ever had. And the coffee was incredible!!

The people behind the counter were very helpful in finding us a meal. The vegetarian fair was excellent, just the right amount of spice and full of flavor. Some people were ordering a half, but both my wife and I had a full with everything. It was not too much. I really appreciated the sign that says drinks are free if you rode your bike to the place.

No meat, but really they dont need it. My husband and I looooooooove their Pita sandwiches with Falafel- all the way. It's so refreshing, tangy, and savory. Theres hot falafel and cold hummus, tomato, lettuce, pickles, etc. It doesnt get any better than this.

Pita place has been my jam for years and for a good reason. The falafel is the best I’ve ever had, and the whole pita falafel is flavorful and amazing. The veggies are seasoned, the falafel is top notch, and the Turkish coffee is also perfect. The staff and owner are so friendly it’s almost unbelievable, and if you drive your bike there you get a free soda! Seriously, why are you still reading my review? Go get some falafel from Pita Place.

What is there to say about this local treasure that hasn't been said before. The food is top notch. Literally my favorite spot in Fairbanks. The outside seating area is cozy. The staff is always smiling. The owner is a class act.Today, I arrived on my bicycle, happy that I was in the area while they were open (their hours of operation are my only complaint). I got a veggie falafel and a soda. The owner was kind enough to give me my soda for free because I rode a bike to his shop. That simple 2 dollar soda was the gesture today that made my day. A simple act of kindness to a person lifted my outlook for the day. Gratitude to that man and a pleasure to be a customer again.

A Fairbanks great local place! It's proof that if you do one thing and do it well, you will be a success. Always fresh, and they have local veggies in the summer! The people are always friendly and the owners go above and beyond to make customers happy. There isn't anything on the menu I wouldn't recommend, but my personal favorite is a half e² 😊

Felafel is so crispy and moist! Really a refreshing and delicious meal. The outside eating area is super cozy and the music is great. Will definitely be returning.

Pita Place, is one of the best place to eat in Fairbanks. Love the healthiness of the food they provide, the amazing outdooor atmospher to enjoy the weather. Tried their turskish coffee and it was so delicious; A must try!

We visited this place several times. The food is outstanding, the service is quick, seating is outdoors with some tables sheltered. Highly recommended.

My colleague from UAF brought me here and wow, it's assembly line efficient, and the spicy pita sandwich is the BOMB. The Kombucha was okay too, but maybe a little weaker than my tastes prefer. Definitely worth a stop!

Excellent food and very friendly. Nice places to eat outside or in. This is a casual place, picnic tables. Limited menu, so lines go quickly. Wonderful falafel. Sauce was excellent. Baklava was wonderful.

Great quick flavorful food!

So delicious and reasonably priced. Half pita falafel for only $5? Perfect lunch. The pita is delicious and made fresh daily, you can really taste the difference.

One of my summer time favorites! Consistently great food - crispy falafal, fresh veggies and awesome hummus all combined together into a delicious meal.

Pita Place does one thing, and they do it well. The falafel has a great flavor and texture, and is wonderfully complimented by the fresh and well-seasoned topings and sauces served alongside. Closer to UAF than to downtown Fairbanks, but don't let that stop you!

It’s not just the northern-most place I’ve ever dined; it’s one of the best and freshest falafel sandwiches I’ve had anywhere. Tender falafel, not greasy, and tons of fresh vegetables.

I have never been in Israel, but so far this is the best falafel I ever ate. Great people, great food, great coffee. I wish they had lentil soup... but maybe soon, right Pita Place? ))

Super delicious falafel vegetarian/vegan place in Fairbankson College Ave near University of Alaska. If you bike to thus place (human powered), drinks are on the house, see picture. Has a giant chess board by the seating area. Glad and grateful that this vegan place exists. Much love.

Amazing fresh Mediterranean food. Crispy falafel, freshly made. Some local and organic veggies. So good on our first visit that we came back again.

Probably the best falafel pita sandwich I ever had. Local ingredients and affordable. The sizes are big so I went with half of a pita and was still full. If you bike in you get s free drink. The lines are long but they move quickly. Plenty of spots to sit.

So, such great falafel made with fresh pita and vegetables. I wish that it was open longer hours in the winter but I will just have to go more often in the summer. If you have never had falafel, you should try it.

This is THE local place you want to visit if you only have time for one lunch in Fairbanks. This family-owned spot has built up over the years from a wildly popular food stand to a permanent structure with dining space. All their food is good. They will give you a free drink if you bike here :)

Fantastic food the owner is a great guy he has built the place from nothing and the food is the best in town! It is very quick and they make it right in front of you. It is a must try thing while you are in Fairbanks.
